How to Sprout Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin seed are delicious alone or mixed with your favorite recipes. Because these seeds are ready to eat quickly, many people refer to them as "soaks" instead of "sprouts." Purchase hulled pumpkin seeds with the shell removed, or a variety called "naked" seeds, which actually grow without the shell.
1.Put your pumpkin seeds into a fine mesh colander and rinse well, as pumpkin seeds are often a bit dusty. Place the rinsed seeds into a wide-mouthed glass jar and cover with water. Allow the seeds to soak for 1 to 2 hours only.
2.Drain and rinse the seeds well and then place them in the jar once again. Cover the jar with a breathable cloth and leave the jar in a cool, semi-lit location for no more than 8 to 12 hours.
3.Rinse your pumpkin seeds well and then spread them out on a clean surface or mesh drying rack. When they are dry to the touch, they can be stored sealed in your glass jar in the refrigerator for about 8 hours. For best flavor and freshness, enjoy them immediately.
